.223 caliber AK mags - who has them?

I am pondering an AK purchase in .223 - but where are any suitable mags? K-VAR used to have some neat Bulgarian examples, but apparently no longer.

Thoughts?

Depends on the AK manufacturer.

Some will work with bakelite 5.45x39 mags and a 223 follower (Robinson Arms makes them) or unmodified steel East German Weiger mags (Romanian SAR-3, WASR-3), or modified Israeli Galil mags (popular), or the Polish factory polymer, if you can find them...good luck.

I think the AK-74 5.45x39 mags work ok with a differant follower, i would just pass on the .223 AK,I had one and didnt really care for it, and get a AK-74 they are very affordable and so is the ammo, plus its current Russian issue.

If I were to get one, it would only be one of the SLR-106 FR models made by Arsenal.
